David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with song and lyres, harps, tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.

Kenaniah, leader of the Levites, was to direct the music, because he was skillful.

So the number of them, with their brothers, who were trained in singing to the Lord, all of whom were skillful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.

So the men did the work faithfully. Their overseers were Jahath and Obadiah the Levites, of the sons of Merari, and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, as supervisors. And other Levites, all skillful with musical instruments,

I will sing a new song to You, O God; on a harp of ten strings will I sing praises to You,

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of the saints.

He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after lies.

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!

Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things! His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.

Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, the coastlands, and the inhabitants.

Speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

They sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn that song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.

And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
