Let those who rejoice at my calamity be ashamed and brought to confusion; let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who exalt themselves against me.

Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will look on.

May all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; may they turn back and be suddenly ashamed.

For God alone my soul silently waits; from Him comes my salvation.

My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.

Those who hate me without cause are more than the hairs of my head; they are mighty who would destroy me, being my enemies wrongfully; what I did not steal, I must now restore.

Let not those who wait on You, O Lord God of Hosts, be ashamed because of me; let not those who seek You be dishonored because of me, O God of Israel,

Let them be confounded and consumed who are adversaries of my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor who seek my hurt.

It shall be said in that day: Behold, this is our God, for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

but those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.

kings shall be your foster fathers and their queens your nursing mothers; they shall bow down to you with their faces toward the ground and lick up the dust of your feet. And you shall know that I am the Lord, for those who wait for Me shall not be ashamed.

But the Lord is with me as a dread mighty One. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail. They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper. Their everlasting shame will never be forgotten.

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.

But as for me, I watch for the Lord; I await the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

But that the word which is written in their law might be fulfilled, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
