The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was continually only evil.

The righteous also will hold to his way, and he who has clean hands will be stronger and stronger.

If I wash myself with snow water and cleanse my hands with soap,

Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.

O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your evil thoughts lodge within you?

Though they say, “The Lord lives,” surely they swear falsely.

He has not eaten on the mountain shrines, nor has he lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, has not defiled his neighbor’s wife;

and has not eaten on the mountains; nor has he lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, nor has he defiled his neighbor’s wife, nor has he approached a woman during her impurity;

Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against the perjurers, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who turn aside the stranger, and do not fear Me, says the Lord of Hosts.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

“Men, why are you doing this? We also are men, of like nature with you, preaching to you to turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them,

and made no distinction between them and us, and purified their hearts by faith.

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

And beware, lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, you are led astray and worship them, and serve them, that which the Lord your God has allotted to all nations under the whole heaven.

for the sexually immoral, for practicing homosexuals, for slave traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for anything else that is contrary to sound teaching,

Therefore I desire that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath or contentiousness.

Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

No unclean thing shall ever enter it, nor shall anyone who commits abomination or falsehood, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
