Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog!
Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue me from their destruction, my precious life from the lions!
“Awake, O sword, against My shepherd and the man of My association,” says the Lord of Hosts. Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will scatter. I will turn My hand against the small ones.
Arise, O Lord! Confront him, cast him down! Deliver my soul from the wicked by Your sword,
O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is iniquity in the palms of my hands,
Let them be ashamed and confounded together who seek to snatch away my life; let them be driven backward and dishonored who desire my hurt.
Draw near to my soul, and redeem it; deliver me because of my enemies.
Let those be ashamed and confused who seek my life; let those be turned back and dishonored who desire to hurt me.
