I will bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.

My eyes are awake before each watch of the night, that I may meditate on Your word.

I remember Your name in the night, O  Lord, and keep Your law.

I will praise You with an upright heart, when I learn Your righteous judgments.

You have tried my heart; You have visited me by night; You have tested me and found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress.

O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and at night, and have no rest.

The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song will be with me, a prayer to the God of my life.

When I remember You upon my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches,

When my heart was embittered, and I was pierced in my heart,

You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; in the night my hand was stretched out without ceasing; my soul refused to be comforted.

I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, and my spirit ponders:

Counsel and sound wisdom are mine; I have understanding; I have power.

With my soul I have desired You in the night; my spirit within me seeks You diligently; for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.

The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I may know how to sustain him who is weary with a word; He awakens me morning by morning; He awakens my ear to listen as the learned.

You have planted them; indeed, they have taken root; they grow; indeed, they bring forth fruit. You are near in their mouth, but far from their mind.

I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give to every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his deeds.

In these days He went out to the mountain to pray and continued all night in prayer to God.

I will put her children to death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the hearts and minds. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
