Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips.
Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
I said, “I will guard my ways, lest I sin with my tongue; I will keep a muzzle on my mouth while the wicked are before me.”

Let my mouth be filled with Your praise and with Your glory all the day.
Do not trust in a companion, do not rely on a friend; from her who lies in your embrace, guard the doors of your mouth.
