The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is no one who does good.

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek God; God is not in all his thoughts.

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice; there is none who does good.

A brutish man does not know, nor does a fool understand this:

The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was continually only evil.

Though you grind a fool in the mortar with a pestle along with grain, yet his folly will not depart from him.

“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? And how long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge.

And you say, ‘What does God know? Can He judge through the dark cloud?

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the abominable, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars shall have their portion in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone. This is the second death.”

They profess that they know God, but in their deeds they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and worthless for every good work.

Alas, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a brood of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger, they are estranged and backward.

Fools, because of their transgressions, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted.

How much more abhorred and corrupt is man, who drinks iniquity like water!

Please do not let my lord set his heart against this worthless man, against Nabal. For as his name is, so is he. Nabal is his name and folly is with him. But I, your handmaid, did not see the young men of my lord, whom you sent.

The desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil.

For I was envious of the boastful when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who only does good and refrains from sin.

They have lied about the Lord, and said, “Not He. Neither shall evil come upon us, nor shall we see sword or famine.”

They all are stubborn rebels walking about practicing slander. They are bronze and iron; they all are corrupters.
