The Lord has sworn in truth to David from which He will not turn back: “A son of the fruit of your body will I set upon your throne.

When your days are complete and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up after you an offspring from your body, and I will establish his rule.

I will be a father to him, and he will be a son to Me. When he goes astray, I will correct him with the rod of men and afflictions of the sons of men.

Your house and dominion will endure before Me forever, and your throne will be established by the Lord forever.

The king also said, ‘Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who has given one to sit on my throne this day so that I could see with my own eyes.’ ”

then I will set the throne of your kingdom as I made a covenant with David your father saying, ‘You will not lack a man to rule Israel.’

The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”

Nevertheless I will not remove My lovingkindness from him, nor allow My faithfulness to fail.

Once and for all have I sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David.

It shall be established forever like the moon, a faithful witness in the sky.”   Selah

Let the heavens praise Your wonders, O  Lord, Your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones.

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He spoken, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David,

But being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of his seed according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

So that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.

Also the Strength of Israel will not lie or repent, for He is not a man, that He should repent.”
