Let the proud be ashamed, for they wronged me with guile; but I will meditate on Your precepts.

For what credit is it if when you are being beaten for your sins you patiently endure? But if when doing good and suffering for it, you patiently endure, this is favorable before God.

But that the word which is written in their law might be fulfilled, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’

The proud have me in utter derision, yet I do not forsake Your law.

Even though princes sit and speak against me, Your servant meditates on Your statutes.

Let no one who waits on You be ashamed; let them be ashamed who transgress without cause.

Let those who rejoice at my calamity be ashamed and brought to confusion; let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who exalt themselves against me.

For without cause they have hidden their net for me in a pit, which they have dug without cause for my life.

but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.

He said, “Why is my lord pursuing after his servant? For what have I done? Or what evil is in my hand?

And he said to David, “You are more righteous than I, for you have rewarded me with good, while I have rewarded you with evil.

I will meditate on Your precepts, and have respect unto Your ways.
