My soul is consumed with longing for Your decrees at all times.

Will he delight himself in the Almighty? Will he always call upon God?

Blessed are those who keep justice, and he who does righteousness at all times!

I opened my mouth and panted, for I long for Your commandments.

I long for Your salvation, O Lord, and Your law is my delight.

Behold, I long for Your precepts; revive me in Your righteousness.

O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

My soul longs and even yearns for the courtyards of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but the desire fulfilled is a tree of life.

A friend loves at all times, but a brother is born for adversity.

I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my lover, that you tell him I am sick with love.
