I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Moreover by them is Your servant warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.

for wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

for wisdom is better than jewels, and nothing you may desire can compare with her.

I came to my garden, my sister, my bride; I gathered my myrrh with my spice. I ate my honeycomb with my honey, and I drank my wine with my milk. Eat, my friends! Drink, and be drunk, O lovers!

He said to me, Son of man, feed your stomach and fill your inward parts with this scroll that I give you. Then I ate it, and it was as honey for sweetness in my mouth.

I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour.
