“I exalted you out of the dust and made you prince over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made My people Israel to sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins.

So he took a piece of broken pottery with which to scrape himself while he was sitting among the ashes.

He sets on high those who are lowly, and those who mourn are lifted to safety.

yet He sets the poor on high out of affliction, and makes their families like a flock.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue cleaves to my jaws; You have set me in the dust of death.

Listen, my beloved brothers. Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those who love Him?
