You have seen it, for You observe trouble and grief, to repay it with Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the orphan.

God settles the solitary in a home; He leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

God looked on the Israelites, and God had concern for them.

You shall not afflict any widow or orphan.

If you take your neighbor’s garment as a pledge, you shall return it to him before the sun goes down,

The Lord will destroy the house of the proud, but He will maintain the boundary of the widow.

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, watching on the evil and the good.

And what will you do in the day of punishment and in the desolation which shall come from afar? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth?

For My eyes are upon all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes.

Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I do not see him? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.

Leave your fatherless children behind. I will preserve them alive; and let your widows trust in Me.

Because the destroyer is coming against her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men will be captured, every one of their bows are broken. For the Lord is a God of recompense; He will completely repay.

O  Lord, You have seen the wrong done to me; judge my case.

You have seen all their vengeance, all their schemes against me.

Assyria will not save us, we will not ride on horses. We will no longer say, ‘Our God,’ to the work of our hands. In You the orphan finds mercy.”

I will heal their backsliding; I will love them freely, for My anger has turned away from him.

Also, what are you to Me, Tyre and Sidon and all the regions of Philistia? Are you repaying Me for something? If you are repaying Me, I will return your payment swiftly and speedily on your head.

Your eyes are too pure to look on evil, and You cannot look on wickedness. Why do You look on those who deal treacherously, and hold Your tongue when the wicked devours the man who is more righteous than he?

He executes the judgment of the orphan and the widow and loves the foreigner, giving him food and clothing.

For these things I suffer, but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until that Day.

There is no creature that is not revealed in His sight, for all things are bare and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

So then, let those who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator, while continuing to do good.

Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.

Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings whose thumbs and big toes were cut off once collected scraps of food under my table. Just as I have done, so God has repaid me.” They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.
