If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scoff, you alone will bear it.

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the punishment of the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the punishment of the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

“Now acquaint yourself with Him and be at peace; thereby good will come to you.

The appetite of a laborer works for him; his hunger urges him on.

Now therefore, do not continue as mockers, lest your bonds be made stronger; for I have heard from the Lord God of Hosts of determined destruction upon the whole earth.

As in all his letters, he writes about these things, in which some things are hard to understand, which the unlearned and unstable distort, as they also do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

For each one shall bear his own burden.

The perverse in heart will be repaid for his own ways, but a good man will be rewarded for his ways.

Penalties are prepared for scoffers, and beatings for the backs of fools.

And if indeed I have erred, my error remains with me.

and all the families that remain, each by itself and their wives by themselves.
