He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed by terrors!

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;

when your terror comes like a storm and your destruction comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.

In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near you.

Then each man will sit under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one will make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has spoken.

Then I will make camp at My house with a garrison, so that no one can pass back and forth. And no oppressor will pass through them, for now I see with My eyes.

“So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled. For all these things must happen, but the end is not yet.

He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

When you hear of wars and commotions, do not be afraid. For these things must first take place, but the end will not be at hand.”

“Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe also in Me.

But even if you suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. “Do not be afraid of their terror, do not be troubled.”
