My son, if you will receive my words and hide my commandments within you,
My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,
to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity;

My son, keep my words, and treasure my commandments within you.

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst.
“Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.”
Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth and was obedient to them. But His mother kept all these words in her heart.
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Does not wisdom cry out and understanding raise her voice?
Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn her seven pillars.
He who keeps the law is a wise son, but he who is a companion of gluttons shames his father.
