When Haman saw that Mordecai neither bowed nor paid him homage, he was filled with rage.

And Haman entered. Now the king said to him, “What should be done for the man whom the king desires to honor?” Haman thought in his heart, “Who more than me would the king desire to honor?”

Then the king said, “Hang him on it!” So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath was pacified.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.

He who loves sin loves strife, and he who exalts his gate seeks destruction.

Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honor comes humility.

The pride of man will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will attain honor.

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and perverse speech do I hate.

This is correct. They were broken off because of unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear.

He must not be newly converted, so that he does not become prideful and fall into the condemnation of the devil.
