“Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline. Therefore be zealous and repent.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son, who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have disciplined him, will not listen to them,

watching diligently so that no one falls short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness spring up to cause trouble, and many become defiled by it,

Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains instruction, but he who heeds reproof will be honored.

A fool spurns the instruction of his father, but he who heeds reproof is prudent.

The ear that hears the reproof of life abides at home among the wise.

The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.

It is better for a man to hear the rebuke of the wise than to listen to the song of fools.

The expression of their countenance witnesses against them, and they declare their sin as Sodom; they hide it not. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves.

He who heeds instruction is on the path of life, but he who refuses reproof goes astray.

Listen to counsel and accept instruction, that you may be wise in your future.
