The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked will be put out.

To his son will I give one tribe, so that My servant David will always have a light before Me in Jerusalem, the city in which I have chosen to put My name.

“How often is the lamp of the wicked put out? How often does their destruction come upon them, the sorrows God distributes in His anger?

when His lamp shone upon my head, and when by His light I walked through darkness;

Unto the upright arises light in the darkness; he is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.

Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.

By pride comes only contention, but with the teachable is wisdom.

The ransom of a man’s life is his wealth, but a poor man hears no threat.

He who vilifies his father or his mother, his lamp will be put out in deep darkness.

for there will be no future for the evil man; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until the full daytime.

When I put you out, I will cover the heavens and make their stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give its light.

Why should the name of our father diminish from among his family, because he has no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.”
