Every prudent man acts with knowledge, but a fool displays his folly.

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright, but the mouth of fools pours out folly.

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Behold, My servant shall deal prudently; he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

Even when a fool walks along the road, his heart lacks sense, and he shows everyone that he is a fool.

Your obedience has become known to all men. Therefore I am glad on your behalf. Yet I want you to be wise in what is good, and innocent in what is evil.

Brothers, do not be children in your thinking; rather be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

A proud and haughty man—“Scoffer” is his name, who acts with insolent pride.

It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; he will guide his affairs with justice.

Please do not let my lord set his heart against this worthless man, against Nabal. For as his name is, so is he. Nabal is his name and folly is with him. But I, your handmaid, did not see the young men of my lord, whom you sent.

Now therefore know and consider what you will do, for evil is determined against our master and against all his household. He is such a worthless man that one cannot speak to him.”

A fool takes no delight in understanding, but only in airing his opinions.

In the heart of the discerning wisdom reposes, and in the midst of fools it is made known.

The beginning of the words from his mouth are folly; so the end of his words are evil madness.
