The generous soul will prosper, and he who waters will himself be watered.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

But the noble devises noble things, and by noble things he stands.

He who gives to the poor will not lack, but he who hides his eyes will receive many curses.

brought bedding, metal bowls, ceramic vessels, wheat, barley, flour, roasted grain, beans, lentils,

Honor the Lord with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all your increase;

then will your barns be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

One gives freely, and yet increases; another withholds what is due, but only suffers want.

He who is greedy stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the Lord will prosper.
