The desire of the humble You have heard, O  Lord; You make their heart attentive; You bend Your ear

With my whole heart have I sought You; let me not wander from Your commandments.

Oh that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes!

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

The hope of the righteous is joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.

When a wicked man dies, his hope will perish, and the expectation of the iniquitous comes to nothing.

With my soul I have desired You in the night; my spirit within me seeks You diligently; for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

As for me, I have not hurried away from being a shepherd after You, nor have I desired the woeful day; You Yourself know that which came out of my lips was in Your presence.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

but a fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which will devour the adversaries.
