The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.

To his son will I give one tribe, so that My servant David will always have a light before Me in Jerusalem, the city in which I have chosen to put My name.

For I will protect this city to save it, for My own sake and for the sake of David My servant.”

So they buried him in the City of David with the kings, because he had done good in Israel, both toward God and His house.

So Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the upper tombs of the sons of David. And all those from Judah and those living in Jerusalem paid him honor at his death. Then Manasseh his son reigned in his place.

The memory of him will perish from the earth, and he will have no name in the street.

The womb will forget him; the worm will feed sweetly on him; he will be remembered no more, and wickedness will be broken like a tree.

Men will clap their hands at him and will hiss him out of his place.

Let his posterity be cut off, and in the generation following let his name be blotted out.

Let them be before the Lord continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

For he will never be moved; the righteous will be remembered forever.

The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

My enemies speak evil of me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor rather than silver and gold.

Then I saw the wicked approaching. They would enter and leave the holy temple, and they were praised in the city where they did works. This also is vanity.

For I will rise up against them, says the Lord of Hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, says the Lord.

O  Lord, the Hope of Israel, all who forsake You will be ashamed. “Those who forsake Me will be written in the dust, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.”

Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel will be preached throughout the whole world, what she has done will also be spoken of as a memorial to her.”

For He has regarded the low estate of His servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed.
