The mouth of a fool is his undoing; his lips are the snare of his soul.

The wise in heart will receive commands, but a prating fool will fall.

He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens wide his lips will come to ruin.

He who winks with the eye causes trouble, and a prating fool will fall.

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

Then He said to them, “Therefore every scribe who is discipled for the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is master of the household who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid. And with joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will find good.

The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

A man who separates himself seeks his own desire; he defies all sound judgment.

a wise man will hear and increase in learning, and a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,

A prudent man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaims folly.

The words from the mouth of a wise person bring favor, but the lips of a fool consume him.

He who has a crooked heart does not prosper; and he who has a deceitful tongue falls into calamity.
