And day by day, from the first day to the last day, he read from the Book of the Law of God. They celebrated the feast seven days, and on the eighth day there was a solemn assembly as required.
For seven days you shall offer food offerings made by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day it shall be a holy convocation to you, and you shall offer a food offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a solemn assembly, and you shall do no regular work.
In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you will have a holy assembly. You will do no ordinary work. It is a day of blowing the trumpets for you.
On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you will have a holy convocation. You will do no ordinary work, and you will keep a feast to the Lord seven days.
But you will offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire as a pleasing aroma to the Lord: one bull, one ram, seven lambs in their first year, without blemish.
