These are the families of Judah by their count: seventy-six thousand five hundred.

For it is evident that our Lord descended from Judah, a tribe concerning which Moses said nothing about priests.

May the Lord give you increase, you and your children.

though Judah prevailed over his brothers and a ruler came from him, yet the birthright belonged to Joseph),
