Speak to the Israelites, saying: When a person sins unintentionally against any of the commandments of the Lord that should not be done, and he violates one of them,
Whenever a leader sins, and he does unintentionally any one of the things that by the commandments of the Lord his God should not be done and is found guilty,
If any one of the common people should sin unintentionally by doing one of the things that by the commandments of the Lord should not be done, and is found guilty,
The priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin that he committed from any of these offenses, and he shall be forgiven. The remainder will belong to the priest, like the grain offering.
But he who unknowingly committed acts worthy of punishment shall be beaten with few stripes. For to whom much is given, of him much shall be required. And from him to whom much was entrusted, much will be asked.
