The Lord said to Moses, “How long will this people disgrace Me? And how long will they not believe Me, in spite of all the signs which I have done among them?

Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His word,

because they did not believe in God and did not trust in His salvation.

For all this they still sinned, and did not believe in His wondrous works.

do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day of Massah in the wilderness,

This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, who walk in the imagination of their hearts, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall be even as this waistband which is good for nothing.

O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your evil thoughts lodge within you?

But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes, and they despised My judgments, which if a man does them, he shall live. And My Sabbaths they greatly polluted. Then I said I would pour out My fury upon them in the wilderness to consume them.

Your calf, O Samaria, is rejected! My anger is kindled against them. How long will they be incapable of innocence?

Thus says the Lord of Hosts: Just as I had determined to punish you when your fathers incited Me to wrath, says the Lord of Hosts, I did not relent.

surely they will not see the land which I swore to their fathers, nor will any of them who disgraced Me see it.

How long will this evil assembly be murmuring against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the Israelites which they murmur against Me.

And the anger of the Lord was inflamed on that day, and He swore, saying,

Then Jesus answered, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.”

He answered, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.”

But if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”

Though He had done so many signs before them, yet they did not believe in Him.

If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin. But now have they seen and hated both My Father and Me.

Yet in this thing you did not believe the Lord your God,

For who were they who heard and rebelled? Was it not all of those who came out of Egypt, led by Moses?

And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who disobeyed?

do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of temptation in the wilderness,
