After this he built an outer wall for the City of David, west of Gihon, in the valley and toward the entrance of the Fish Gate, where it went around Ophel, and raised it to a very great height. Then he positioned military commanders in all the fortified cities in Judah.

Once the wall was rebuilt and I had erected the doors, the gatekeepers, the singers, and the Levites were appointed.

For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you.

On that day, says the Lord, a cry will be heard from the Fish Gate, a wail from the Second Quarter, and a loud crash from the hills.
