Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.

They were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all who were with them were delivered into their hand, for they cried to God in the battle, and He heard their prayer because they trusted in Him.

So the Israelites were subdued at that time, and the people of Judah prevailed, for they depended on the Lord God of their fathers.

Is not Hezekiah leading you all astray to give you over to death by famine and thirst when he tells you, ‘The Lord our God will deliver us from the hand of the king of Assyria’?

They sang responsively, praising and giving thanks unto the Lord, “For He is good, for His mercy endures forever toward Israel.” And all the people responded with a great shout when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

For the Lord is good; His mercy endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.

May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He teaches sinners in the way.

For in the time of trouble He will hide me in His pavilion; in the shelter of His tabernacle He will hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.

But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their refuge in the time of trouble.

The Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they take refuge in Him.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth trembles, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,

Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will glorify Me.”

But I will sing of Your power; I will sing aloud of Your lovingkindness in the morning, for You have been my defense and a refuge in the day of my trouble.

Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may continually come; You have given the commandment to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.

Those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.

For You have been a defense to the poor, a defense to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat; for the breath of the ruthless ones is as a storm against the wall.

A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the tempest, as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

Who among you fears the Lord, who obeys the voice of His servant, who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord, and rely upon his God.

O  Lord, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations will come to You from the remote parts of the earth, and will say: Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit.

Do not be a terror to me; You are my hope in the day of disaster.

Thus says the Lord the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so I will acknowledge those who are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.

the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who shall say, “Give thanks to the Lord of Hosts, for the Lord is good; for His mercy endures forever,” and of those who bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord, for I will restore the fortunes of the land as at the first, says the Lord.

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.

Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him. They have defied the king’s word and yielded their bodies, so that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Then the king was exceeding glad for him and commanded that they take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of harm was found on him, because he believed in his God.

The Lord roars from Zion, and sounds His voice from Jerusalem, and heaven and earth quake. But the Lord is a refuge for His people, and a stronghold for the Israelites.

But I will leave in your midst a meek and humble people, and they will trust in the name of the Lord.

He trusted in God. Let Him deliver Him now, if He will have Him. For He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’  ”

But then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice evil.’

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and am known by My own.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God—severity toward those who fell, but goodness toward you, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.

But now, after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how do you turn again to the weak and worthless elemental forces to which you desire again to be in bondage?

But the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who calls on the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
