Then the earth quaked and trembled; the foundations of the heavens rumbled and shook, because He was angry.

The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at His reproof.

He who removes mountains, and they know not, who overturns them in His anger.

He looks at the earth, and it trembles; He touches the mountains, and they smoke.

The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.

O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O hills, like lambs?

Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of the hills also quaked, because He was angry.

Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire from His mouth; coals were kindled by it.

The nations raged; the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice; the earth melted.

the earth shook; the heavens also poured down rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

Let the sea roar, and all that fills it, the world and those who dwell in it;

Now Mount Sinai was completely covered in smoke because the Lord had descended upon it in fire, and the smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain shook violently.

Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty, and makes it waste, and turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants abroad.

The earth reels to and fro like a drunkard, and it totters like a shack, and its transgression is heavy upon it, and it shall fall, never to rise again.

Therefore the anger of the Lord burns against His people, and He has stretched out His hand against them, and has stricken them, and the hills trembled. Their corpses were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this His anger is not turned away, and His hand is still stretched out.

But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and an everlasting King. At His wrath the earth trembles, and the nations cannot endure His indignation.

I looked on the mountains, and behold, they trembled, and all the hills moved to and fro.

The fish of the sea and the fowl of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep upon the earth and all the men who are upon the face of the earth shall shake at My presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

Before them the earth quakes, the heavens shake; the sun and moon darken, and the stars withdraw their radiance.

The Lord God of Hosts, He who touches the earth and it melts, and all who live on it mourn; it all rises up like the Nile, and subsides like the river of Egypt;

The mountains will melt beneath Him, and the valleys split apart like wax before the fire, like waters deluged down a slope.

The mountains saw You and trembled; the overflowing water passed by. The deep lifted its voice, and lifted its hands on high.

“Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will be made level ground, and he will bring out the top stone amidst shouting of ‘Grace! Grace to the stone!’ ”

Surely the day is coming, burning like an oven; all the proud, yes, all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming will burn them up, says the Lord of Hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.

And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from the top to the bottom. And the ground shook, and the rocks split apart.

And behold, there was a great earthquake. For the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat on it.

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it. From His face the earth and the heavens fled away, and no place was found for them.

Then the heavens receded like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

The mountains quaked before the Lord, this very Sinai, before the Lord God of Israel.
