Micah 7:18

Who is a God like You, bearing iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not remain angry forever, because He delights in benevolence.

I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and will not remember your sins.

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and your sins, as a cloud. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.

In those days and at that time, says the Lord, the iniquity of Israel will be sought for, and there shall be none. And the sins of Judah, but they shall not be found; for I will pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.

Indeed, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with My whole heart and with My whole soul.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say: Return, backsliding Israel, says the Lord, and I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful, says the Lord, and I will not keep anger forever.

“Who is like You, O  Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

O  Lord God of Hosts, who is as mighty as You, O  Lord? Your faithfulness surrounds You.

But You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abundant in mercy and truth.

Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them.

For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord?

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

and I will make the lame into a remnant, and the banished into a mighty nation; and the Lord will reign over them on Mount Zion from this time forth and forevermore.

I will indeed assemble Jacob—all of you; I will indeed gather the remnant of Israel. I will place them together like sheep in a fold, like a herd in its pasture— thronging with people.

Say to them: As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, O house of Israel?

and he said, “Lord God of Israel, there is no God like You in heaven above or on earth below who keeps covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts,

There is none like the God of Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to help you, and in His majesty through the skies.

For he who has shown no mercy will have judgment without mercy, for mercy triumphs over judgment.

The Lord your God is in your midst, a Mighty One, who will save. He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will renew you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your inheritance, which live alone in a forest, in the midst of a fertile land; let them graze in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

He prayed to the Lord and said, “O  Lord! Is this not what I said while I was still in my own land? This is the reason that I fled before to Tarshish, because I knew that You are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger, abundant in faithfulness, and ready to relent from punishment.

And it will be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors whom the Lord calls.

For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for the spirit would grow faint before Me, and the souls whom I have made.

For You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in mercy to all who call on You.

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him.

Shall He reserve His anger forever? Shall He keep it to the end?” Behold, you have spoken, but you have done all the evil things that you could.

I will rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people; and the voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

But there is forgiveness with You, so that You may be feared.

Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?

They refused to obey and were not mindful of Your wonders that You performed among them. But they hardened their necks and in their rebellion appointed a leader to return to their bondage. But You are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in kindness, and did not forsake them.

He said, “If now I have found favor in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, for we are a stiff-necked people. Pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”

But what is the divine reply to him? “I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”

But it was fitting to be merry and be glad, for this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ ”

Therefore He will give them up, until the time when she who is in labor has given birth, and the rest of his brothers will return to the Israelites.

He said, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me, “The end has come upon My people Israel. I will forgive them no more.

The Lord said to me, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said, “Behold, I am putting a plumb line in the midst of My people Israel. I will forgive them no more.

They shall teach no more every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,” for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord, for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

You were wearied by the length of your road; yet you did not say, “There is no hope.” You have found renewed strength; therefore, you did not faint.

To whom then will you liken Me, that I should be equal to him? says the Holy One.

To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?

As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.

All my bones shall say, “Lord, who is like You, delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?”

“He has not beheld iniquity in Jacob, nor has He seen perverseness in Israel. The Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

Ebed-melek went forth out of the king’s house and spoke to the king, saying,

For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons shall marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God shall rejoice over you.

If you do well, shall you not be accepted? But if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. It desires to dominate you, but you must rule over it.”

And listen to the pleas of Your servant and Your people Israel when they pray toward this place. And may You respond from heaven, the place of Your dwelling, so that You hear and forgive.

Because if you return to the Lord, your brothers and children will find compassion before those who have taken them captive, in order to return you to this land. For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn His face from you if you all return to Him.”

The inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick”; the people who dwell there shall be forgiven their iniquity.

Do not be wrathful beyond measure, O  Lord, nor remember iniquity forever. Behold, look upon us, we pray, for we all are Your people.

but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, says the Lord.

Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a pleasant child? For since I spoke against him, I still remember him; therefore My heart longs for him. I will surely have mercy on him, says the Lord.

I will cleanse them from all their iniquity whereby they have sinned against Me. And I will pardon all their iniquities whereby they have sinned and whereby they have transgressed against Me.

Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, but rather that he should turn from his ways and live?

Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him, “Take away all iniquity, and accept that which is good; and we will offer the fruit of our lips!

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because he pursued his brother with the sword, and repressed all pity; his anger tore with no ceasing, and his wrath persisted with no end.

They removed the foreign gods from among them and worshipped the Lord, and He could no longer endure the suffering of Israel.

Blessed is the man You choose and allow to approach You, that he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

Behold, it was for my own peace that I had great bitterness; but You have kept my soul from the pit of corruption, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back.

None of his sins that he has committed shall be remembered against him. He has done what is lawful and right. He shall surely live.

I will be like the dew to Israel; he shall grow like the lily and shall strike his roots like Lebanon.
