To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

This is the end of the matter; all has been heard. Now fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.

Thus says the Lord: Preserve justice and do righteousness, for My salvation is about to come and My righteousness to be revealed.

For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place and also with him who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

For My hand made all those things, thus all those things have come to be, says the Lord. But to this man I will look, even to him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at My word.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him. Is not this what it means to know Me? says the Lord.

Thus says the Lord: Execute justice and righteousness, and deliver the robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. And do no wrong or violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, and let not the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches;

It is good that a man should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

in order that you may remember, and be humiliated, and never open your mouth anymore because of your shame, when I am pacified toward you for all that you have done, says the Lord God.

And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.

Therefore, you must obey the voice of the Lord your God and do His commandments and His statutes, which I am commanding you today.

See, today I have set before you life and prosperity, and death and disaster.

So embrace, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, a spirit of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and longsuffering.

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father, who has loved us and has given us eternal consolation and good hope through grace,

But do you want to be shown, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

“Now fear the Lord, and serve Him with sincerity and faithfulness. Put away the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord.

Finally, be all of one mind, compassionate, loving toward one another, gracious, and kind.

Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you. But I will teach you the good and the right way.

Samuel said, “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, a listening ear than the fat of rams.
