Listen to what the Lord says: Arise, plead your case before the mountains, that the hills may hear your voice.

The Mighty One, God the Lord, has spoken and summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.

He shall call to the heavens above, and to the earth, that He may judge His people:

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth. For the Lord has spoken: I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me;

The Lord stands up to plead and stands to judge the people.

Hear and give heed; do not be proud, for the Lord has spoken.

O land, land, land, hear the word of the Lord!

As for you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say: O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord.

But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit for My people Israel. For they shall come soon.

Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

and say, Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God. Thus says the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

Hear this word that the Lord has spoken against you, O Israelites, against the whole family I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying:

Hear, all you peoples! Listen, earth and everything in it, that the Sovereign Lord may be a witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple.

The mountains will melt beneath Him, and the valleys split apart like wax before the fire, like waters deluged down a slope.

And in anger and wrath I will take vengeance on the nations that have not listened.

Hear, mountains, the indictment of the Lord, O enduring foundations of the earth— that the Lord has an indictment against His people, and against Israel He will dispute.

He answered, “I tell you, if these should be silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will surely and suddenly perish from off the land that you are going across the Jordan to possess. You will not prolong your days on it, but shall be completely destroyed.

Now therefore stand still that I may reason with you before the Lord, concerning all the righteous acts of the Lord, which He did for you and your fathers.

Then Samuel said to Saul, “Stop, and I will tell you what the Lord spoke to me this night.” And he said to him, “Speak.”
