“Whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.”

By this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commands. His praise endures forever!

The wise in heart will receive commands, but a prating fool will fall.

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.

You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

To man He said: ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.’ ”

If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation.

The unfolding of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.

The wisdom of the prudent is to consider his way, but the folly of fools is deceit.

When the tempest passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous stands firm forever.

The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous will stand.

And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it did not fall, for it was founded on a rock.

And everyone who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them will be likened to a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master has made ruler over his household to give them food at the appointed time?

Five of them were wise and five were foolish.

But the wise took jars of oil with their lamps.

“The wise answered, ‘No, lest there not be enough for us and you. Go rather to those who sell it, and buy some for yourselves.’

for the hearers of the law are not justified before God, but the doers of the law will be justified.
