Now when Jesus heard that John was put in prison, He left for Galilee.
Now when John had heard in prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
For Herod had laid hold of John, bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife.
After John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
Herod had sent and seized John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.
But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to here.”
added also this above them all: He locked John up in prison.
Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee. And His fame went throughout the surrounding region.
Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths.
The next day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip, and said to him, “Follow Me.”
This, the first of His signs, Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and He revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.
For John had not yet been put in prison.
After the two days He departed from there and went to Galilee.
This was the second sign that Jesus did when He had come from Judea to Galilee.
