“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and of all impurity.

Like the silver of dross covering an earthen vessel are the lips of a fervent woman with an evil heart.

Whoever in the field touches one who is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave will be unclean seven days.

So you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like unseen graves, and the men who walk over them are not aware of them.”

It is those who desire to make a good showing in the flesh that try to compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
