No one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare to ask Him any more questions.

So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.” Then He said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his Son?”

When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” After that, no one dared to ask Him any question.

When He said this, all His adversaries were ashamed. And all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.

But they remained silent. So He took him and healed him, and let him go.

And they could not answer Him regarding these things.

After that they dared not ask Him any question at all.

But seeing the man who was healed standing with them, they had nothing to say against it.

‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.’ Moses trembled and dared not look.
