And behold, there were two blind men sitting by the road, and when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; the Lord raises up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.

And on that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and darkness.

I will bring the blind by a way that they did not know; I will lead them in paths that they have not known. I will make darkness light before them and crooked things straight. These things I will do for them and not forsake them.

Hear, you deaf; look, you blind, that you may see.

We grope along the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes; we stumble at noonday as in the night; among those who are vigorous, we are as dead men.

While he sowed, some seeds fell beside the path, and the birds came and devoured them.

The crowd rebuked them, that they should be silent. But they cried out even more, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

The blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.

The crowds that went before Him and that followed Him cried out: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”

“What do you think of the Christ? Whose Son is He?” They said to Him, “The Son of David.”

Then they came to Jericho. And as He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat along the way begging.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;

In that same hour He cured many of their infirmities and afflictions and evil spirits. And to many who were blind He gave sight.

But being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of his seed according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,
