After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother and brought them up to a high mountain alone,
and was transfigured before them. His face shone as the sun, and His garments became white as the light.
He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee and began to be sorrowful and troubled.
As He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,
He let no one follow Him, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, John and James, and the father and mother of the girl.
This is the third time I am coming to you. “In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.”
For we have not followed cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
And we ourselves heard this voice, which came from heaven, when we were with Him on the holy mountain.
