They reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have taken no bread.”
Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
But when Jesus perceived it, He said to them, “O you of little faith, why reason among yourselves, that it is because you have brought no bread?
Where did the baptism of John come from? From heaven or from men?” They reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’
They kept that statement to themselves, questioning each other what the rising from the dead meant.
While they communed and reasoned together, Jesus Himself drew near and went with them.
A dispute arose among them as to which of them was the greatest.
Peter said, “Not at all, Lord. For I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.”
