When they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, who made vessels for the house of the Lord, vessels for serving and for making burnt offerings, spoons and vessels of gold and silver. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one who received seed beside the path.

yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, eventually he falls away.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened.

He was a burning and a shining lamp, and you were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
