As they departed, Jesus began to say to the crowds concerning John, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

He was a burning and a shining lamp, and you were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

so we may no longer be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about with every wind of teaching by the trickery of men, by craftiness with deceitful scheming.

But let him ask in faith, without wavering. For he who wavers is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed with the wind.
