As they came down the mountain, He warned them to tell no one what they had seen, until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

They kept that statement to themselves, questioning each other what the rising from the dead meant.

Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus only.

He said to them, “Thus it is written, and accordingly it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

When the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. They kept silent and told no one in those days anything they had seen.
