They went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
Then he said to Gehazi, “Prepare yourself, take my staff in your hand, and go. If you find anyone, do not greet him, and if anyone greets you, do not answer him, and lay my staff on the face of the boy.”
So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.
When Jesus finished these sayings, the people were astonished at His teaching,
But go your way, tell His disciples and Peter that He is going before you to Galilee. There you will see Him, as He told you.”
Now when Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.
Carry no bag, no pouch, no shoes, and greet no one on the road.
They were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they saw a spirit.
