Again He went away and prayed the same words.
I asked the Lord three times that this thing might depart from me.

He told them a parable to illustrate that it is necessary always to pray and not lose heart.

When He returned, He again found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. And they did not know what to answer Him.
In the days of His flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death. He was heard because of His godly fear.
