“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord will come.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

And He said to them, “My soul is deeply sorrowful unto death. Remain here and keep watch.”

Then He came and found them sleeping and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not keep watch one hour?

When He came there, He said to them, “Pray that you may not fall into temptation.”

He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you fall into temptation.”

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be bold like men, and be strong.

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. These are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but so much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Be sober and watchful, because your adversary the devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Because you have kept My word of patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation which shall come upon the entire world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
