Jesus said to him, “Truly, I say to you that this day, during the night, before the cock crows twice, you will deny Me three times.”
So the evening and the morning were the third day.

So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
God called the expanse Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.
Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you, this night, before the cock crows, you will deny Me three times.”
“Watch therefore—for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or in the morning—
Peter said to Him, “Even if all fall away, I will not.”
But he said more vehemently, “If I must die with You, I will not deny You.” They all said the same thing.
He said, “I tell you, Peter, before the cock crows today, you will deny three times that you know Me.”
Jesus answered Him, “Will you lay down your life for My sake? Truly, truly I say to you, the cock shall not crow until you have denied Me three times.
Then the servant girl, being the doorkeeper, said to Peter, “Are you not also one of this Man’s disciples?” He said, “I am not.”
Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed, lest he fall.
