For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle. The city will be captured and the houses plundered and the women ravished. Half of the city will go to exile, but the remainder of the people will not be cut off from the city.

He said to me, “This is the curse going out over the surface of all the land. Everyone who steals will be purged according to the writing on one side, and everyone who swears falsely will be purged according to the writing on the other side.

When the king heard about it, he was angry. He sent in his army and destroyed those murderers and burned up their city.

Peter, calling to remembrance, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”

“And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; for you will go before the presence of the Lord to prepare His ways,

But land that bears thorns and thistles is rejected and near to being cursed. Its destiny is to be burned.

Out of His mouth proceeds a sharp sword, with which He may strike the nations. “He shall rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury and wrath of God the Almighty.

There shall be no more curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
