May the Lord cut off from the tents of Jacob any descendant of the man who does this, teacher and student, yet who brings an offering to the Lord of Hosts.

They cast lots for their duties, small and great, teacher and student alike.

For I, the Lord, love justice, I hate robbery in the burnt offering; and I will faithfully give them their recompense and make an everlasting covenant with them.

He who kills a bull is as if he kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dog’s neck; he who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine’s blood; he who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations;

They shall bear the punishment of their iniquity. The punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him who seeks him

Speak to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will profane My sanctuary, the pride of your strength, the desire of your eyes and the delight of your soul. And your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind shall fall by the sword.

Though they bring up their children, I will bereave them until none are left. Woe to them indeed, when I depart from them!

For whoever shall commit any of these abominations, those persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

I will set My face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given some of his descendants to Molech to defile My sanctuary and to defile My holy name.

Though you offer Me burnt offerings or your grain offerings, I will not accept them, nor will I regard the offerings of your fattened animals.

The Lord will deliver the tents of Judah as before, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of those dwelling in Jerusalem will not eclipse Judah.

Who is there among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire on My altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you, says the Lord of Hosts, nor will I accept an offering from your hand.

You also say, “What a weariness it is,” and you snort at it, says the Lord of Hosts. You bring in what is stolen, the lame, or the sick; thus you bring an offering! Should I accept this from your hand? says the Lord.

Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously with one another, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

“How lovely are your tents, O Jacob, and your tabernacles, O Israel!

Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into the ditch.”

But evil men and seducers will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

But the beast was captured and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with brimstone.

Therefore, I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for with sacrifice or offering forever.”
